During the Summer 2025 term in my CWV‑101 Christian Worldview course, I had the privilege of working with Anna Baleto as she developed her Benchmark “Gospel Essentials” essay. Anna consistently approached complex theological themes, such as the nature of God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration, with genuine curiosity and a reflective, personal voice. What stood out most was her ability to connect doctrine with everyday life, expressing how her Catholic faith and experience in worship, Scripture, and community deepened her understanding of the Christian story. Seeing her now extend that same creativity and heart into Anna Banana’s Creations and her broader storytelling work is no surprise, and I am confident she will continue to use her writing and design gifts to encourage, uplift, and inspire others.
As an educator, one of the greatest rewards of teaching is watching former students transform their talents into meaningful careers. Anna Marie Moniz is one of those students. I had the pleasure of teaching Anna Marie in BSCOM – Advertising and the Media at The University of Phoenix. This course explores advertising strategy, media selection, marketing messaging. From the very beginning, she stood out - not only because she was an excellent student - but communications, and the evolving relationship between media content and commercial because she approached every assignment with curiosity, creativity, and a sincere passion for storytelling. What impressed me most about Anna was her ability to think “outside the box”. She achieved this by adding her personal insights and storytelling into each assignment. Anna Marie understood that effective communication is more than simply delivering a message - it is about creating an experience that connects with people on a personal level. Today, it is incredibly rewarding to see those same qualities reflected in her work through Anna Banana's Creative Stories and Pacific Scripts Entertainment. Having taught at the college level for more than 17 years across multiple colleges and universities, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Very few remain memorable long after they have graduated. Anna is one of those exceptional individuals. She possesses not only the talent to succeed as a creative writer, but also the integrity, professionalism, and passion that inspire confidence in everyone who has the opportunity to work with her. I am proud to have been part of Anna's educational journey and even prouder to see the accomplished creative professional she has become. I have every confidence that her work will continue to inspire readers, preserve cultural stories, and leave a lasting impression on those who experience her unique gift for storytelling. I wholeheartedly recommend Anna and look forward to following her continued success. Ricardo McCoy Adjunct Professor The University of Phoenix Higher Education Instructor with 17+ Years
